PULLING
BLOCKS

A pulling block is often used to pull through a cassette to improve the out-of-roundness deviation of the starting rod prior to rolling or to pull through a die to draw down the wire size to the exact starting diameter prior to rolling. 

1 or more cassettes / dies with pulling blocks located inline and in front of the rolling mill can roll down the rod size to the desired diameter and operate as a pre-drawing unit.

1 rolling cassette is often employed as an inline calibrator, to improve the out-of-roundness deviation of the starting rod prior to rolling. 

The rod can be pulled through the cassette either by a dedicated pulling block, or by the first rolling stand.

1 or more cassettes with pulling blocks located inline and in front of the rolling mill can roll down the rod size to the desired diameter and operate as a pre-drawing unit.

HOLDER

1 die is sometimes used as an inline pre-drawer, to draw down the wire size to the exact starting diameter prior to rolling. 

The wire is pulled through the die by a dedicated pulling block.
